treblab z2 hybrid active noise cancelling workout headphones

These headphones are really awesome. Sound quality is amazing and they have a strong bass. They are very comfortable and they have a 35 hour battery life. I have only two complaints. The first is that while they do fold flat they won’t completely articulate into a tight package. As a result they are a little bulky to travel with. Also you do lose bass when you turn the ANC on. I was originally going to leave a 4 star review for this reason but then I compared them to my friend’s Bose q35. With ANC on the sound quality was pretty similar but when you turn the ANC off these headphones actually have better bass, noticeably better. The fact that these headphones have better sound quality than headphones which are over 4 times the cost makes them a five star product.Updated:My first set of Z2's started cutting out in the left ear cup. This gave me an opportunity to test the lifetime warranty. It took about 4 weeks from when I first noticed the issue to getting my new headphones. I'm satisfied with the customer service and I didn't have to pay more money for new ones. It seems that these guys stand behind their products.I've now had these headphones for several months and some of my opinions on them have changed. The best feature of these headphones is the sound quality. You get a balanced sound with amazing bass. They honestly sound better than several of my friend's headphones which cost more than three times as much. If you want amazing sound quality but you are on a budget, Z2's all the way. The ANC does work but it really leaves something to be desired. I've tested these in my car on road trips and it works okay but more expensive headphones such as the Bose QC35 will perform better when it comes to ANC. I have not yet tested these on a plane so we will see if that changes my opinion. Also the "hiss" other reviewers have mentioned about the ANC is present but it is very moderate and you really only notice it in quiet settings. Usually when I am in a quiet setting with these headphones I leave the ANC off anyway because the bass will perform better when the ANC is off.I'm still leaving my 5 star rating because these headphones still perform so amazingly well. My criticisms of the ANC are being made compared to 350$ headphones which still makes these a great deal. Also I have no been able to test their customer service and I am satisfied.

I've had these for three years now, and they are still going strong. They are comfortable on my head and I can get them pretty snug when I need them to be. The padding goes around my ears entirely so there is no pressure or pain from extended wear. They have been stuffed in my work backpack when I'm traveling and crunched under seats on flights. They have survived my tossing them in the seat of the car and being left in the heat of the day. The battery life has not degraded in any noticeable way (though I am pretty good about always putting them on the charger when I get home and remember to bring them in). The noise cancelling is excellent, but it will drain the charge faster than when that feature is not turned on. I typically use this only on longer flights which makes the flight a little more enjoyable. For the gym I will put these on and just focus on my workout. The sound quality is fantastic with the highs, mids, and lows, coming through equally giving a fuller richer sound. The bass is really impressive for these if you have a lot of rock, hip-hop, or certain categories of edm on your playlists. When these finally die I will replace them with another Trelab.

UPDATE 1/2/21:::::Trelabs sent me a new unit to test and I have been using them for about 30 days now. They seem to have fixed a number of issues.1. clamping force has been reduces so they are much more comfortable to wear now.2. sound stage has more depth, and bass response once they are burned in. you REALLY REALLY need to burn these unit in to get the most out of them. still not as much bass as my Sony XB headphones, but for 1/2-1/4 the price they are very good.3. bluetooth is still a bit of a pain and power down happens fast still. I cannot go more then 10-15ft away from my computer (intel NUC) and have it connected still.4. button controls are still a pain and poorly laid out. it is hard to tell if you have depressed a button or not. pairing is not intuitive, but works once you hold it down for a long period of time.5. the re-pairing of the headphones if they power off is super annoying, you have to manually power them back up and audio usually gets a little out of sync on video. if the bluetooth drops out and reacquire speed is very good.Overall with some of the changes they made I would buy another unit, but only for a max of $60-65, anything over that I think there are better options out there, but that pricing range is tricky.PREVIOUS REVIEW::::Seriously, these are advertised to compete with things like the Sony XB and similar line headphones or with midrange bass headphones, that is a not a good comparison.PROS:1. Build quality is solid2. Ear muffs are comfortable3. Clamping force is solid without being harsh4. Buttons are clearly labeled5. Pairing with devices is straight forwardCONS:1. Bluetooth cannot stay connected for most then 10-15min at a time. Even if sitting static trying to listen to music they will randomly disconnect and reconnect2. there is no on headphone volume control so you are stuck with whatever they can drive, which is weak. you basically have to listen at 100% volume on any device3. nearly no bass response. the sound is hollow and while it tries and do some bass the drivers in the headphones are so passive they can barely cause travel. you have to know there is bass there to think that you hear or feel it4. sound quality of calls to the person you are calling is nice, but to you the sound is very tinny and you feel as though you are listening from 3ft away vs a closed conversation5. no input timeout is very aggressive. this is how they are getting the battery life. if you pause your sound for 5min the headphones will power off to conserve power. 30hr battery life is a joke.6. ANC is a joke in terms of sound quality. all it does is remove all lowend and make the sound so bright it is painful.I am so very disappointed in these. At $90 they are total rip off. I bought them on a lightning deal for $76 to replace a pair of headphones where the band snapped and these are going back in less than 2 weeks. I really wanted to like them and was very hopeful on first listen. Every time I would use them though something would go wrong. I would be sitting in my recliner connected to only my iPhone 11 Pro Max sitting 3ft away. Listening to a podcast and suddenly after about 15min it would say "disconnected" and no sound and then 15-20 seconds later say "connected" and sound again. No pause or disconnect signal sent to the iPhone either so it just kept playing and you then have to back up. This repeats over and over. Also, if you have the headphones on and you press on the ear cups there is a solid crackling or popping sound like the plastic is flexing under and touching or stressing something. Pressing the large earcup with normal pressure expecting a button to be present does this, so no excessive force etc.Lastly is the sound quality which most should care about. If you listen to Rock, Classical or EDM then these are NOT for you. If you care about a solid bass with some punch then keep looking as these are NOT for you. If you are looking for a muddy low-end with no power and don't care about separation of sound at all then great these are for you.I returned these today, and would not even suggest them to a teenager. At this price point there are too many others that are making quality products with decent sound quality. I was not expecting planar quality, but something more then a drugstore headset would have been nice.

These are great (when they work)!Had my first pair for 5 months, and after the battery suddenly failed to charge, Treblab offered a swift and kind replacement for the headphones less than 4 hours after me submitting my request for a replacement.Just received my second pair today, and they are working just as well if not better than my first! Comfortable, noise cancelling, great sound and Bluetooth ability.

Muy satisfecho con los audífonos. Ya habíamos compraron unos en el pasado, pero por el uso se fueron deteriorando, por eso la razón de comprar otros iguales.

Ho preso le cuffie per mio marito lui è rimasto contentissimo perché gli usa al lavoro dove c'è tanto rumore e così con loro rimane isolato con una buona qualità di suono. La batteria dura tre giorni interi senza spegnere. Sono leggeri e comodi da usare . Consiglio a tutti perché mio marito è rimasto soddisfattissimo. Gli usa mentre lavora e anche durante la corsa . The build quality is good, and the earcups are definitely sweatprooof. But the main issue for me was the bluetooth which kept cutting up when i moved away of walking distance and started stuttering. ( I literally have to keep my phone in my pocket to not have issues ) which i did not face with other earphones. The volume is relatively low compared to other headsets as well. ANC is there but it's not really there.

Aussi, la batterie tiens très ! Long temps ce qui est extrêmement pratique.La casque est stylé, et comfortable et légère, tiens bien sans serrer.La livraison très rapide, commande passée vendredi aprèm, lundi le colis, soigneusement emballé, déjà chez moi.En résumé, très bon acquisition, grand plaisir d'investir dans un bon casque.
